Welcome to the Mortimer Film Club
We show films across a wide range of genres, including foreign subtitled, black & white classics as well as Independents.
Our seasons run from September to June (10 films). Our film showings take place at Mortimer Community Centre on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Doors open at 7.30pm, with coffee, tea and freshly baked cakes or biscuits available until the film starts at 8pm. Membership costs £40 for the season (£4.00 per film) or you can pay £5 per film as a guest. You are invited to join some of us in the Horse & Groom afterwards to talk about the film and get to know fellow filmgoers.

Every month we welcome help with:
- promoting the film in the run-up to the show (social media; e-mailing members;
putting up little posters and putting up the board on Mortimer Common fence;
- baking the cakes/biscuits to offer on the night;
- setting up the chairs and refreshment counter from 7pm;
- taking the money for tickets on the night;
- selling the raffle tickets;
- serving refreshments
- tidying up after the show.
If you can help, even for one month, please contact Belinda Hopkins, whose details are above. Volunteering once does not commit you for the year!
We look forward to meeting you at one of our films in the near future.
