Safeguarding

Message from West Berkshire:

As part of our safeguarding support offer to voluntary organisations and community groups across West Berkshire we are pleased to offer 3 new safeguarding awareness training dates.

This face to face training is provided by the Council at no charge to anyone working in the voluntary and community sector in West Berkshire and covers basic information about safeguarding adults and children including:

  • What is Safeguarding?
  • Who do we have a duty to Safeguard?
  • Types of Abuse
  • Concept of Significant Harm
  • Signs, Symptoms and Indicators of Abuse
  • Duty to report
  • The Referral Process
  • Multi Agency Approach
  • Information Sharing and Confidentiality
