All Stars Theatre Academy is the premier dance and theatre academy based in Reading and surrounding areas and Hampshire. There is a local Bag2School collection of clothes, shoes, accessories, bedding, curtains, towels, cuddly toys  etc. The proceeds are split between St John's, St. Mary's and Willink PTAs. Collections are made from both outside houses and at school (see the Calendar for dates).

We have been collecting for our local schools for about 14 years now and we regularly receive about 1 tonne per collection which means Mortimer and surrounds have put into Bag2school bags over 42 tonnes of unwanted clothing over the years. The Bag2school team have recently released a statement which explains how the scheme works and also suggests alternatives particularly for items which cannot be accepted.

Burghfield Sailing Club is one of the largest inland sailing clubs in the country. The lake has over 200 acres of sailable water and lies along the beautiful Kennet Valley, benefiting from the prevailing south-westerly winds. The club membership is made up of dinghy sailors with some sailbords. There is also a very active junior fleet sailing Optimists and Toppers with abilities ranging from absolute beginners to a good standard for racing in national events.
