There is a website here to help with connected bus, train and coach travel planning in the South East.

Burghfield and Mortimer Volunteer Bureau

Provides transport by car to anyone who is unable to use other means, in particular for medical appointments. It serves the parishes of Burghfield, Mortimer West End, Stratfield Mortimer, Silchester, Sulhamstead and Ufton Nervet. Volunteers use their own cars to take people in need (many of them elderly and infirm) to and from local hospitals, surgeries, dentists, opticians etc. In addition the Bureau organises transport to local day centres for some elderly residents. Passengers are encouraged to make a donation towards the cost of the service.

If you or anyone you know needs such a service, phone the office on 0118 983 1814 between 9:30 and 11:30 Monday to Friday. A driver will then phone you to confirm all details including collection time.
