THE INTRODUCTION
Vicar We gather to remember those whose lives have been given and taken in wars and conflicts past and present.
We pray for all who in bereavement, disability and pain continue to suffer the consequences of war and conflict.
We commit ourselves to work in penitence and faith for reconciliation between the nations that all people may live in freedom and peace.
THE BIDDING PRAYER
Eternal God, from whose love we cannot be parted in life or death, hear our prayers and thanksgivings for all those whom we gather to remember this day.
As you have fulfilled in them the purpose of your love, so bring us, at the last, to be with them in love’s eternal joy;
All Amen.
