Scarecrow Trail 2011

This year's scarecrow trail (between 22nd and 30th October) was an even more resounding success than the first one last year. Forty scarecrows decorated the village and hordes of people enjoyed walking and cycling round to see them all. An astounding 782 trail maps were sold and nearly 400 were handed in at the library to vote for the favourite scarecrow and to enter the Scarecrow Bingo draw (for which the correct answer was 22).

The votes for first and second place were very close all week, but in the end Derek the (talking) Dalek entered by the Hannawin family was the winner while The Gruffalo entered by the Rees family was a very close second.
