From Belle Canto with Love

As part of the West Berkshire Chamber Music Concerts live intimate artistic and classical musical performances monthly Belle Canto Ladies Trio presents from Belle Canto with love, a selection of our favourite trios, duets and solos from the world of the movie, musical and opera. 

Doors open 15:30, tea and cakes served 15:30 - 16:00. Performance lasts about an hour. 

Mass Unwrap of Plastic Food Packaging - Burghfield

It's Mass Unwrap week. At this family-friendly event, Plastic Free Mortimer hopes to raise awareness of unnecessary single-use food packaging to show manufacturers the need for change.

The Plastic Free Mortimer team will help shoppers at Tesco Express fill trolleys with unnecessary plastic packaging - and find ways to recycle it.

Bag2School Raises More Money for Local Schools

The latest Bag2school collection raised £649 for St Johns, St Marys and Willink Schools. 1623kgs of clothes, shoes, handbags, soft toys, towels and bedding were collected from the houses in Mortimer by a band of volunteers. Our grateful thanks must go to Dad's Shop who kindly loaned us the use of their van, as John Bull's van, which we usual use, was stolen recently.
