Easter Bunnies

Submitted by The Happy Hermit on 16 April 2020

As unplanned Easter breaks go, I had a really good one. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Easter bunny was deemed a key worker and had delivered mini-eggs and a creme egg through my sanitised letterbox - and also left some bunnies at my front door. Unfortunately, the weather was extremely hot, and the bunnies weren't tall enough to reach the doorbell for me to let them in....and so they were casualties of the heat by the time I found them. Mad dogs and English men and all that.....

Most of my day of solitude was spent reading and sunbathing but at 4pm, I was invited by another family to take part in the weekly Burghfield curry quiz online. I logged into facebook for the questions and had my friends on whatsapp video so that we could communicate. I was really pleased to find that I knew at least 3 of the answers - they were about chocolate.

In the evening, I joined my family on zoom for a games night (and wine). We worked out that we could play trivial pursuit (although I couldn't answer the questions as there was nothing on chocolate)...along with other boards games such as Tenable and The Chase....good fun and great to see my mum and brother via video link.

Not a bad Easter at all....
