This year the theme is "Mortimer has gone Potty". Every scarecrow will feature flowerpots!

Come along and find out all about how you can live more lightly and do your bit to care for our beautiful earth. We have a programme of talks, stalls for information on all things green and local, activities for families, and of course delicious refreshments. It is free to attend or to participate- please join us!

This year promises to be bigger and better than ever, as the Burghfield Santa's celebrate 21 years of fund raising.

Silchester welcomes its friends and neighbours once again to enjoy an afternoon of fun and community fundraising.

Tea Tent, Pimms and Aperol Bar, local Beer, Ale and Cider, Silchester Village Market, Dog Show, Classic Vehicle show, Ferret racing, inflatables and circus skills alongside an afternoon of entertainment in the Arena.

The next Friends of Mortimer poetry session is on Saturday, 30th August. 10.30 - 12 noon and  is open to anyone who enjoys reading poetry and/or putting pen to paper and writing poems.
