April is the busiest time in the garden, but don’t panic, take things one step at a time and you’ll get it all done. It’s important to take a few moments to sit in the sun, listen to the birds, and admire any colour you have in the garden. Make a note of any gaps in your spring planting to order any bulbs in the autumn for next year.

On the afternoon of Saturday 23rd March, after a very productive Village Spring Clean and a busy week of activity on social media, more than 40 people joined the MVP committee to celebrate 10 years of MVP and attend its AGM.

Once again, the people of Mortimer demonstrated their love for the village by grabbing rubbish sacks and litter pickers, and set about cleaning up many of the streets and green spaces.

"Music for a Spring Evening” concert on Saturday 23rd March 2019 in St. John's Church was an exciting event. The music selection from guest conductor, Peter Cole, showed off the talent and ability of the band, with many complimentary comments being received from the audience during the interval and after the concert.
