The Island Sailing Club Reading is based on the Englefield Lake in Pingewood.  The long established club is focused towards all inclusive sailing, from the absolute beginner to experienced sailors, from those who just want to sail for fun to those who are keen racers.  The club is RYA affiliated and therefore offers training courses to teach any newcomers.  We sail on Sundays, or the first Saturday of the month, from about 11 through to 4, or whenever the sun goes down in the summer months.  Always open to new members, come down and see us, for more details see the website

If you’re looking for somewhere to hold your party, meeting or a series of classes, Mortimer West End Village Hall could be the ideal venue. The flexible layout, with its spacious entry hall, large hall (6m x 9m) and small hall (6m x 3m) lends itself to many purposes. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are plenty of tables and chairs available to use. Fast and efficient heating makes it warm and cosy. The hall is also just 15 minutes from Junction 11 of the M4 and 20 minutes from Junction 6 of the M3 and has parking for about 20 cars. There is a recreation ground and children's playground across the road, and footpaths through the woodlands behind.  The small hall can be hired for as little as £3.50 per hour during the day.
