Formed from the merger of Mortimer West End Cricket Club (MWECC) and Mortimer Cricket Club (MCC), 2025 will see both heritage clubs’ home grounds being used, and we have the distinction of being one club with two home grounds in separate counties.

We expect to compete with three Saturday league teams, in the Thames Valley League (TVL), The 1 st XI in Division 5, 2nd XI in Division 8 and 3rd XI, which will be a development team, in Division 9. Our Sunday friendly side will continue with a full fixture list. We will provide members the opportunity to play cricket at a suitable level to match their needs and aim to provide a clear pathway for junior members to progress into adult cricket.

We will continue to provide coaching to children from the age of 5-15 and are engaging with local secondary schools to help provide indoor winter cricket opportunities. Our own indoor nets will begin in February, at Theale Green School and anyone interested in coming along should contact any member of the committee via our new website

West Berkshire Council sponsor health walks in Mortimer . We meet every Tuesday in the car park opposite the Horse & Groom pub. There are 3 walks:
9:45 Long walk of about 5 miles approx 1hr 45 min
10:00 Regular walk about 3.5 miles approx 1.5 hrs
10:30 Short gentle walk of about 1.5 mile approx 1 hr. This is for those wanting to start walking or returning after illness or injury
