Dancing in Budgens

Submitted by Wisconsin12 on 8 April 2020

Who would have thought six months ago that we would be apologising to people when we cross the street to stay away from them, that we would be dancing around people in Budgens and holding your breath (in more ways than one) if you have to get closer than 2 metres? We took for granted that the supermarket shelves would always be full and now we have to plan meals around what is available. It brings a whole new meaning to the words 'freezer eat' and I do wonder in another month whether food supplies will be back to normal or we will have to get used to the reduced stocks and queues to get in. My parents tell me about queueing outside shops during the war and here we are again having a war with something that we cannot even see. Living so close to AWE I thought we would all go up in a puff of smoke not be beaten by something so tiny.
