Pour My Bluff was a Grape Success
As summer draws to a close, the award-winning MVP brought a brand-new event to Mortimer. Pour My Bluff made its debut on Saturday 20 September at the village Community Centre — and it was a resounding success! Nearly a full house gathered to taste six different wines while being challenged to decide which of three stories about each was true.

Mortimer Funday Returns Saturday 05 July 2025
After a seven-year hiatus, the ever-popular Mortimer Fun Day will return on Saturday 05 July 2025.
The event will be held on Mortimer Fairground and will be hosted by Mortimer Village Partnership (MVP) and Mortimer Music Live (MML).

2025 Theme: “Mortimer’s Gone Potty”
This year, we’re going potty – literally!
Every scarecrow must include at least one plant pot in its design. Let your creativity blossom: think flowerpot-headed heroes, animals in bloom, or anything else that springs from your imagination. Characters can be real or fictional, human or animal – just make sure there’s a pot (or several) involved!
Remembrance Sunday 2023
As usual Mortimer marked Remembrance Sunday with a uniformed parade to the war memorial where there was a short service and 2 minute silence. This was followed by a service at St John's where the roll of Honour was read.
The Roll of Honour is a list of those from Mortimer who gave their lives in the First and Second World wars. Their names are on the memorial, the list including the units in which they served are as follows:
