Mortimer Art Show 2016 update

The show was well attended with 289 visitors recorded. 

23 paintings were sold to the value of £2299 and the total figure raised for our charity was £913.

 This amount will be donated to the Cardiac Fund at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in memory of Mary Edwards, our friend and co-founder, who died in August.

The Favourite Painting Poll was won jointly by Alf Lund for his painting ‘Ullswater’ and Lesley Stone for ‘Cwm Bachan Falls’.  They will share the newly created Mary Edwards Trophy, each holding it for six months.

The organizers are very grateful for the help received from members of the MVP in transporting, erecting and dismantling the screens on which the paintings are displayed. 

The weekend was enjoyed by everyone and we hope to welcome even more visitors next year.
