Remembrance Day 2018 - War Memorial

As is to be expected a significantly larger than usual crowd attended the act of remembrance at the War Memorial today, Sunday 11th November 2018. With so much in the news about the 100th anniversary of the Armistice, honouring those who fought and died for our country was in everyone's thoughts. The members of the British Legion, Scouts, Cubs, Guides, Brownies, and Firemen  marched to the War Memorial in brilliant sunshine. At the War Memorial they were surrounded several rows deep by members of the public during the prayers, readings, Last Post and laying of wreaths.
