Mortimer Lunch Club Still Partying!

We all know December is packed with Christmas events so this year MVP Lunch Club decided to hold a post Christmas party in January. 44 people sat down for a lovely lunch provided by Julia Mills and her son Ben. Sian Nelson asked our community via the BuyNothingMortimer Facebook group for donations both for a raffle and for gifts for our lunch guests. We were delighted to find that the people of this community rose to the occasion with generous offerings for everyone and a brilliant raffle too. Music was once more provided by Brian Bicknell which got us singing to familiar tunes and even some dancing ! Our huge thanks must go to everyone who supports our lunch club from the volunteers who donate their time twice a month, to the businesses who donate both food and services and to everyone who gives a little in appreciation of our older community members.
