The Axemen came and conquered!

In the words of a small boy leaving Treasure Island Kids Zone, “Mum, this is the best day in the whole of my life”. On that measure alone this year's Fun Day was a resounding success. It would have been even better with more people, so, if your road or favourite area still looks rather litter-ridden, make a note to be sure to take part next year.

The View from the Other Side..........

Usually, an excursion to London for me means a family sightseeing tour warranting flat, comfortable walking shoes, clothes for all weathers and a picnic-filled rucksack. An invitation from the Queen, to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace, therefore called for a whole new rethink, careful strategic planning and of course, a shopping trip!
