I think everyone will agree that the Scarecrow Trail was a great success! For the whole of half term, in every daylight hour, regardless of the weather, you could see groups of people walking and cycling round, consulting their yellow maps and exclaiming with surprise as they encountered each new character!

Here are the First Mortimer Brownies dressed up to stage their own Coronation Ceremony with all the girls joining in as part of their Diamond Jubilee Girlguiding Challenge.

Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council was honoured to be invited by Bruno Peek, The Queen's Pageant master to be one of the 2012 official beacons celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on 4th June 2012. A working party led by Julian Earl was formed to plan the event which took the form of Proms in the Park.

On 26th and 27th May, many people took advantage of the great taster sessions on offer from our local sports clubs and organisations. You can see a few photos here.
