MVP are please to announce the results of the scarecrow competition and the trail quiz:

Defibrillators - spring 2017

The much-awaited defibrillators have arrived! After a significant delay due to a change in the specification for the boxes in which they are being mounted, the three defibrillators will installed at the following locations:  

MVP Lunch Club Christmas Party 2016

The MVP Lunch Club held its Christmas Party on Thursday 15th December. 45 guests sat down to a buffet lunch and were serenaded by the choir from Mortimer St Johns School. The children were, as always, a delight and really got our lunch guests into the Christmas spirit.

Carols at the Royal Albert Hall 2017

Another very popular trip for the people of this community is the Christmas trip to the Royal Albert Hall to enjoy the beautiful sounds of Christmas.

Mortimer Art Show 2016 update

The show was well attended with 289 visitors recorded. 

23 paintings were sold to the value of £2299 and the total figure raised for our charity was £913.

 This amount will be donated to the Cardiac Fund at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in memory of Mary Edwards, our friend and co-founder, who died in August.

Bag2School collections 2016

A big thank you to all those who donated in the recent Bag2School collection. 2,085kg of clothing was collected, earning £834. The MVP has decided to donate their share of the proceeds to Willink, so Willink, St John's and St Mary's will receive £278 each.


A total of £2,215 was collected across the 3 collections in 2016.

Spring Clean 2016

Saturday 12th March was Mortimer's annual Spring Clean day which this year was also part of the Clean for the Queen campaign. 1st Mortimer BP Scouts and Cubs did a valiant job clearing litter and dumped items from the roads and verges and open spaces near the Scout Headquarters in the morning.
