Mortimer 2012 WI was founded in October 2012 in response to local residents who wanted a branch of the WI to be run within the village. Mortimer 2012 WI is a member of the Berkshire Federation of Women's Institute and the wider National Federation of Women's Institutes.
We hold monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of every month at 7 30pm in Mortimer Community Hall on The Fairground. Our Calendar of monthly speakers for the coming year will be posted on this website as soon as it is available. They will include talks on Antiques, Jewellery Making, Pottery, Travel, Wine tasting and a range of Crafts. Please look out for our posters advertising monthly speakers round the village.
We would be delighted to welcome new members to our Mortimer 2012 WI. Each WI is unique as it offers a range of activities for the needs of those who join. Activities may include traditional crafts, games, poetry, arts, cookery, walking, days out and many more and will take place outside the monthly meetings.
