Mortimer West End & District Annual Show is held on the Saturday of August Bank Holiday Weekend at Mortimer West End Village Hall.
Entry categories are Vegetables, Fruit, Flowers, Handicrafts, Photography, Art, Home-made Wine and Domestic. There is also a Class for Children.
The Show attracts 4-500 entries which are judged by qualified independent judges.

1st Burghfield & Sulhamstead is a thriving scout group open to boys and girls aged 6 to 25 serving the local area. We consist of 3 Beaver colonies, 3 Cub packs, 3 Scout troops, 2 Explorer Units, a District Network Group for young people aged 18-25.

We provide fun for all members of the family as well as the youngsters who enjoy lots of outdoor fun in a structured and safe environment. For more details visit our website. 

The 1st Mortimer Scout Group was founded here in the village of Mortimer in 1910 making the group one of the oldest in the country. We provide traditional scouting with a modern approach for boys and girls from Year 1 upwards with the emphasis on fun for all in a safe environment.
Beavers are for Years 1 and 2 and meet on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:45 pm
Cubs are for Years 3 to 6 and meet on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:15 pm
Scouts are for Year 7 upwards and meet on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm
