Mortimer Fun Day 2010

Everyone will agree that Mortimer Fun Day 2010 was absolutely fantastic!! The sun shone, about 5000 people came and had a great time.

MVP would like to thank everyone involved: organisers, volunteers, sponsors and attendees - together we made a sunny day really shine in Mortimer.

Mortimer Village Partnership Public Meeting

We were very pleased to have more than 60 people come to the first MVP public meeting on Saturday 24th April. They were able to look at posters from more than 25 local organisations and talk to representatives from many of them. You can see the posters in the photogallery.

Spring Clean 2010

On 17th April MVP organised a spring clean of the village - Many thanks to the 60 people who came along on the day to pick up litter and start digging the community garden at the Horse & Groom. We hope this will become an annual event.

Logo Competition

MVP held a competition in March 2010 to design it a logo. This was the brief for entries to follow. A good total number of entries was received. Thank you to all those who took time and effort to submit and entry to our logo competition. The judges felt there were many good ideas.

Family Walks

On Saturday 2nd January 2010 the first Family Walk attracted about 30 people who enjoyed their tramp in the cold before finishing at the Community Centre with refreshments and a quiz about the Fairground. It is hoped to turn Family Walks into a regular event throughout the year.

Christmas 2009

Sunday 30th November saw about 80 children in fancy dress and their parents excitedly making Christmas Tree decorations in the Community Centre.
