The Alfred Palmer Memorial Field is held in trust "as a public ground for the resort and recreation of and as playgrounds for or otherwise for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parishes of Mortimer and Wokefield."
The Trust are keen to ensure as many of its beneficiaries as possible are able to utilise the field as per the original bequest. See our contact page if you are interested in using it for organised events, either regular or one off. Otherwise just feel free to come and enjoy the space.

Rainbows, aged 4/5 - 7, take part in games and activities as part of their programme called Rainbow Jigsaw. Everything a Rainbow does helps her to develop and think for herself in a safe girls only environment.

The Blue Room is a small but well-appointed digital recording studio on Victoria Road in Mortimer. The studio is ideal for:
•Writing and arranging music
•Recording solo singers and musicians
•Mixing and mastering
•Producing radio commercials, jingles and idents
•Recording Spoken Word projects such as audio books and talking magazines for the Blind
•Producing voiceover packages and preparing voice prompts for IVR systems
•Sound and music design for computer games and the moving image
We have worked with the BBC, Gamelab, RCA, Joshua Foundation and production companies around the World. We have also produced music for students from the notorious Brit School which influenced the careers of Katie Melua, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash, Imogen Heap, The Kooks, Leona Lewis and the Noisettes to name but a few.

Together in Mission (TiM) is a local charity – our activities are focussed on the communities in Burghfield Common, Mortimer, Sulhamstead, Ufton Nervet and the surrounding villages. Our aim is meet the needs of our communities by providing friendship and a meeting place in the community where all are welcome. We do this primarily through a befriending service, known as TiM Friends, and a community café, known as Café B. TiM also runs ad hoc projects to support the community.
South Berks Concert Band (SBCB) is a Platinum Award winning, friendly community group of woodwind, brass and percussion players who have performed in and around the Reading and West Berkshire area since our formation in 1976. We currently rehearse in Tadley, and enjoy performing concerts throughout the year to the communities of Mortimer, Tadley and Burghfield, and at bandstands around the area.

We work with vulnerable children and their families in communities across the world, in situations of poverty, conflict and famine.
